I want to put down in present, that behind any color skin,
There is a human being suffering by discrimination

To create bridges between two worlds, implies linking two different elements under a conductive thread which allow spaces of dialogue, but also to show the creation of hybridizations that contemplates both scenarios. In “Amo a la Reina” the artist Raquel Van Haver explores her origins from the perspective of her aesthetic and academic experience in Europe; from this encounter are produced images exhibiting, as a starting point, much of the acquired by the Chiaroscuro of the Holland School, in a composition where the light attains a symbolic, psychological, even sinister values. Nevertheless, Raquel utilizes these tools to question since a contemporary posture, social concerns, highlighting the visual richness of the daily life, the popular, and the need to bring about visibility spaces for those whom haven’t had the possibility to raise their voice.
