Amsterdam 2 - 2021

The 2020 drawing assignments from the Amsterdam City Archives have been awarded to Raul Balai, Frederick Calmes, and Raquel van Haver. As an occasional collective they work with the theme of their =choosing, 'The breath of the city' and, in addition to drawings, they also make three zines.

In their process-oriented, dynamic way of working, interaction with Amsterdam and its inhabitants is central. The three artists will approach the city from their perspective, whereby there will be overlap in themes and the works will come together in the zines. The result will be included in the collection and displayed in the Beeldbank.
