12 – 26 JULY 2019
Jack Bell Gallery is pleased to present a solo exhibition of work by contemporary artist Raquel van Haver. Van Haver refers to her work as ‘loud’ paintings that sympathetically portray people on the fringes of society. This will be the artist’s fourth show with the gallery.
In 1101 Delirium, van Haver reflects on her mother’s abrupt passing. The color red plays a big part in this serie as it resembles the blood but also can refer to the blood line of mother and daughter. The work captures a cathartic celebration with her friends. Three are mural scaled paintings depicted her birthday celebration where  guests drank and danced freely to celebrate life, love and friendship.
